The Lower Rio Grande Valley Counselors' Network is a locally centralized forum of elementary, middle school, secondary and post-secondary school counselors. This network is designed to provide staff development targeting specific topics of interest to counselors including career planning. The network is part of a statewide system of counselors' networks that is managed by Weatherford college with a Tech Prep grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

A Lower Rio Grande Valley Counselors' Network Steering Committee plans meetings and events for the year's activities including workshops on many topics chosen by counselors as well as taking tours of local industrial to get firsthand insight into current industry needs for future employees.
