Rebecca Cavazos graduate of Santa Rosa High School

Rebecca Cavazos, a May 2002 graduate of Santa Rosa High School, Santa Rosa ISD, received a $4,000 scholarship to Texas State Technical Harlingen. In her scholarship application, Cavazos stated that her mother’s counsel helped her to become interested in a nursing career. Cavazos found nursing to be interesting because “it involves helping others in need—much depends on you when you have someone’s health or life at stake.” Cavazos is currently enrolled at TSTC, where she is enrolled in courses that will ultimately allow her to graduate with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
