Marie McDermott, CEO of the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, is a visionary leader who understands the relationship between education and economic development and, therefore, supports Tech Prep RGV's work in a number of areas. The Chamber and Tech Prep RGV have worked together with a large group of partners on an Education and Career EXPO for the past three years. Crisanne Zamponi, Director of Community Development, is the Chamber's "point person" for the EXPO. The Education and Career EXPO, which started in Harlingen but is rapidly expanding to serve a broader region, is designed to showcase educational and employment opportunities that are available here in the Rio Grande Valley.
